I agree with the point you’re making. However, the isolation of Iran has been brought about by deliberate US pressure on several countries. Since this move by India happened very soon after President Obama’s visit, it does seem that the real reason probably is US pressure, and not India’s own evaluation of Iran’s internal situation.

The US trying to pressure the whole world into following it’s line is what I’m really against, and it bothers me that India is toeing the line. Perhaps this was a result of India’s independent judgment of Iran’s situation, and if that truly is the case, I have no complaints at all, and shall keep my peace.
